Lighting composition
LC0597
A composition about the elements. A soft undulating lower edge makes the silhouette alive: at the bottom the composition does not break off, it runs down — banners in the wind, weed in the body of water, an aurora arrested in a room.
Plates of two characters, matte white and clear coloured, descend from the ceiling on fine cables; above them a scattering of miniature points holds the curtain in the air, like stars.
By day, as you move through the room, the layers reassemble and the drawing never repeats: in a cold register it is ice and turquoise, in a deep green one a dark field with a gold reverse. In the evening the points above light up, and the green version becomes an evening forest with the sun burning deep inside it, the cold one a radiance over water.

Lobbies, atriums, double-height living rooms, stairwells, restaurants. Related to the LC0598 series: the same plates, a different character — a city there, the elements here.
Style
Contemporary sculptural installation and natural modern: the curtain as a form. The message is atmospheric — a piece that changes the state of a space.
The dimensions, the density, the palette and the drawing of the lower edge are all made to order.

@vargov_design →Light composition LC0597 Hundreds of vertically suspended glass elements form a dense, voluminous mass that looks both monumental and weightless at once. Matte green shades flow smoothly into deep scarlet accents, evoking a blooming field of poppies against an evening sky. Thanks to the varying drop heights and the complex rhythm of the elements, the object changes constantly as you move around it. From some angles the composition recalls an abstract forest of glowing leaves, from others a floating cloud structure filled with colour and light. By day the composition reads as a large artistic sculpture, and in the evening it turns into a light installation with a living inner glow. The inspiration for LC0597 was fields of blooming poppies — a symbol of the beauty, fragility and strength of nature, embodied in glass and light.
