Serial EAEU certificatesof conformity

Vargov lighting compositions are certified as serial production — the certificate covers every unit of the listed LC pieces, not a single batch. Certificates are valid from 01.06.2026 to 31.05.2031.

Declarationsof conformity

TR EAEU 037/2016 “On the restriction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products”. The restriction of hazardous substances is what the rest of the world knows as RoHS: lead, mercury, cadmium and other compounds in electrical equipment. Registered 29.08.2026, valid until 27.08.2031.

What this meansin practice

A declaration of conformity to TR EAEU 037/2016 confirms what the product is made of: no lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium or brominated flame retardants above the permitted fractions. Elsewhere this requirement is known as RoHS.

Certificates and declarations answer for different things, and one does not replace the other. The TR CU 004/2011 and 020/2011 certificates say a luminaire is safe in operation: it will not give a shock, it will not interfere. The 037/2016 declaration says it is safe by composition, including at disposal. A project document set needs both.

Why this is not a formality

The declaration is issued for serial production, not for a batch: it covers every unit of the listed pieces, however many are made and whenever. A batch document would have to be obtained again for each delivery — and at handover it would turn out that what arrived is not covered by it.

The testing was real: samples were taken in May 2026, an accredited laboratory ran the tests, and the reports are named in the declarations themselves. The entries are open in the Rosaccreditation register — anyone can look them up by number, including your lawyer and your client.

What it gives the client

  • In a tender the document set is accepted without correspondence: there is a registration number, a validity period and a list of pieces you can point a finger at.

  • At handover built-in lighting equipment requires proof of conformity. Without documents the luminaire either comes down or the site is not accepted — and the composition is already mounted under a two-storey ceiling.

  • In a dispute liability for safety rests with whoever holds the documents. If nobody holds them, it rests with whoever installed the fitting.

Vetting a supplier

Three questions worth asking any supplier of bespoke lighting

  1. 1Is the document for a series or for a batch? A batch document does not cover the next delivery.
  2. 2Is your piece named individually? The wording “representative sample” means something else was tested.
  3. 3Is there a number in the accreditation register? A document that cannot be checked online does not exist.

For us the answer to all three is yes, and you can verify it without asking us.
