A composition about a curtain of scarves. Hundreds of ribbed "kerchiefs", bent at a free break, descend as a dense vertical volume — an almost textile gesture repeated at the scale of a building.

Gold capsules of light stitch the curtain right through: the sources are neither under the composition nor above it but inside it.

By day it is a waterfall of clear and smoky folds — a piece read through overlays and depth, pale and all but weightless. In the evening light runs along the ribbing of every kerchief as along strings, and the curtain sounds entire: hundreds of glowing strokes at differing depths.

Where it works

One of the brand's largest verticals — atriums, stair shafts, double-height lobbies several storeys tall. The composition is designed for a specific opening.

Style
