A composition about a fan. The pleated disc reads both as a scallop shell and as the cap of a mushroom — what they have in common is that the folds radiate from one point: a structural principle rather than an ornament.
The colour decides everything: ashen rose makes the piece warm and adult at once — a rare shade for light and a precious one for an interior.
By day it is a tilted field of dusty pink fans: the pleating reads through light and shade, the composition soft and almost monochrome. In the evening a warm light comes on at the heart of every disc, and the folds radiate from it as rays of shadow — the fan acquires a drawing of its own that is invisible by day.
Where it works
Living rooms, boudoirs, bedrooms, boutiques, reception areas. The dusty pink register asks for neutral surroundings so as not to argue with the finishes.
Style
Art Deco and marine Art Nouveau: the fan as a classic motif. The message is feminine and expensive — a piece for an interior with fine taste.
The number of fans, their calibres and their tilts are all made to order.
