A field suspended in weightlessness. There is a great deal of air between the elements — the composition does not press down with mass, it is distributed through the volume so that the gaze passes right through.

The light is hidden in only some of the flowers; the rest pick it up and pass it on. There are therefore many times fewer glowing points than elements, and the composition shimmers unevenly, like a real field at dusk.

By day the object is almost transparent and reads only through highlights — it is easy to miss. In the evening the key flowers light up and the clear ones flare with borrowed light: the result is a starfield with warm thickenings.

Where it works

Very large spaces: atriums, lobbies, panoramic double-height halls, banqueting venues.

Style

Romantic classicism and light Art Nouveau: pale walls, plenty of air, a minimum of heavy furniture. The message is weightlessness — the composition occupies an enormous volume without creating any weight.
