A fabric that does not bend. The petals are laid in dense overlapping rows and the surface reads as embroidered cloth, though it will not give by a millimetre.

At the centre the pattern parts — dark rounded fragments emerge through the gold, like pebbles laid bare on the bed of a stream. It is the only event on the whole plane, and it keeps the composition from monotony.

By day the panel looks like a relief of gold cloth — calm, almost a background. Under directed light the relief comes alive: shadows begin to travel across it, and the motionless surface starts to move.

An accent wall: an entrance hall, behind a bedhead, in a meeting room, in a showroom, in a private study.

Style

Contemporary luxury and Eastern opulence: deep colours, velvet, an abundance of metal. The message is the tactile — the panel asks to be touched, and that is its main action.
