A composition about a caught drop. Every inverted drop with its sharp tip hangs on a fine hook bent like a question mark — a thing that ought to be falling turns out to be suspended. The whole tension of the composition rests on that.

The upper zone is left empty: only the hatching of threads, with small beads hanging between them — gold and cool blue. The mass of drops gathers in the lower third, with a wavy lower edge.

By day the composition reads graphically — hatched threads and clear forms, almost a technical drawing. In the evening the light passes through the body of each drop and bursts out at the tip as a bright point, the gold hook above it picks up the reflection and outlines it from above, and the beads give scattered sparks between the main elements. Only the glowing drops remain, hanging from gold loops.

Where it works

An elongated horizontal format — long dining tables, bar counters, lobbies, meeting rooms. The light gathers into points below: the piece lights the table, not the room.

Style

Jewellery modernism and contemporary classicism: the suspension as a subject in its own right. The message is refined — a piece for a table where people sit close.
