A composition about the time that tumbles things smooth. These stones have no facets and no correct geometry — only rounded flanks and a matte surface, as though the sea had carried them for a long while. The author deliberately refuses cutting: what is valued here is not the work of a maker but the work of the elements.

The stones hang individually, gathered into a broad shallow bowl. Density is uneven: they mass together at the centre and thin to a scatter at the edges. No array at all — a natural distribution, like shingle on a shore.

By day it is a scatter of sea stones suspended in the air: cobalt blue beside cloudy white, the palette of a northern coast. In the evening the glow comes from within — the matte surface does not transmit light but glows as a soft subdued patch: the blues deepen to ultramarine, the whites to opal. Not a single hard highlight. A night sea lit from beneath.

Generous rooms — lobbies, spas and pools, panoramic living rooms, dining rooms. Even diffuse light without glare is comfortable where people spend time beneath it.
