A composition about a shell with light sounding inside it. A broad bowl with a rolled rim — a section like a shell or a petal curled by heat. Copper-rose and calm outside, mirrored within: one and the same form behaves in two different ways depending on which side you look at it from.

The cluster is vertical, broad above and tapering below. The elements are turned at random: some show a mirrored interior, some a clear back.

By day it is a cluster of rose forms — warm, quiet, working through reflection. In the evening light kindles inside each bowl, takes on copper and emerges through the open edge as a narrow hot patch. The mouths face different ways, and the composition reads differently from every point — a swarm of copper lights with no principal view.

Where it works

A vertical format — stairwells, atria, double-height living rooms, shafts between floors. It is designed to be seen from several levels at once.

Style

Warm Art Deco and contemporary classicism: copper and rose gold rather than yellow. The message is intimate and rich — a piece for an interior with a warm palette.
