Lighting composition
LC0501
A composition about a shaving off a cutting tool. Springy rings and half-rings of ribbed ribbon repeat a form that arises by itself — as a by-product of work. The author makes it the main thing.
Every curl carries a gold capsule of light; the cloud is vertical and dense.
By day it is a vortex of ribbed coils: the composition reads through plasticity and hatching, alive and mobile. In the evening light runs along the spirals, slips off the coils and fills the space with dancing highlights — the cloud begins to turn.
Where it works
Stairwells, the zone above a round table, bay windows. The composition is flexible in mood: assembled densely it reads as baroque, thinned out as light calligraphy.
Style
Baroque and industrial minimalism in one piece: the curl without ornament. The message is expressive — a piece for an interior that needs character.
The number of curls, the height of the cloud and the density are all made to order.
