A composition about the fruit and its medium. Large pomegranates with faceted sides and a dimple on top are rare and heavy; around them falls a dense vertical rain of small drops on clear threads, even and uniform. The whole composition rests on that contrast: a few large events within a uniform medium.

The form of the fruit is taken almost literally. The tone is deep scarlet with gold runs, the surface mirrored: the fruits reflect and glow from within at the same time.

By day it is an orchard with ripened fruit — red against clear, read through colour and highlight. In the evening the light passes through the body and fills it to ruby, while the rain picks up the reflection and scatters it as pinpoint sparks through the whole volume. The source cannot be found — both the fruit and the medium around it glow. Rubies suspended in a cloud of sparks.

Generous rooms — lobbies, double-height living rooms, banquet and wedding halls, restaurants. The rain sets the vertical envelope: allow for height.
