Lighting composition
LC0062

A composition about freezing rain. The rods are overgrown with small crystals along their whole length — uneven accretions, thicker in places, sparser in others. This is how a branch looks the morning after rain has frozen in flight: the crust builds not evenly but wherever it managed to.
The rods hang at varied angles — almost horizontal, oblique, crosswise — and intersect to form a three-dimensional lattice with no centre and no symmetry. A thicket of bare branches caught by frost.
By day it is an interlacing of branches — graphic, cold, living on the highlights along the crystals. In the evening every accretion lights its own point, and an uneven glowing line runs along each branch: where the crystals are denser, it is brighter. The polished ends flare as separate hard highlights. A thicket covered in luminous frost.
Where it works
Generous rooms — lobbies, double-height living rooms, stairwells, winter gardens, restaurants. A lattice without a centre is built for the specific volume and has no principal face.
Style
Nordic modernism and organic aesthetics: winter as motif. The message is cool and clean — a piece for an interior in a cold palette.
The overall size, the number of branches, the density of the crystals and the metal finish are all made to order.

@vargov_design →Another composition made for a client who sees the difference Light composition LC0062 This composition reads as a subtle interior metaphor for nature, carefully built into the architecture of the space. Graceful glass ‘branches’ with clear droplets evoke morning dew — the kind that has not yet evaporated and still holds the freshness of the night air. The composition seems to float, not weighing the interior down but, on the contrary, adding depth and air. Because of the transparency of the glass and the elongated forms, the light does not read as an object; it dissolves, softly filling the space with reflections and highlights. An ideal solution for spaces where atmosphere matters. The composition does not argue with the architecture but becomes its continuation — light, natural and very tactile.
