Decorative composition
LC0047
A composition about a bird drawn in a single stroke. The simple tick — two blades diverging at an angle, with uneven edges — is how a child draws a bird and how a bird is seen at a distance. The author takes the most economical of signs and multiplies it into a flock.
The pyramid is dense, thicker toward the centre and the base, thinned at the edges and above. Over the mass runs a net of bare cables with glowing points — the sky above the flock.
By day it is a flock sketched in strokes alone: clear mixed with polished gold, read through silhouette. In the evening the irregular facets refract the light and scatter it in white sparks, the gold ticks reflect it and flare warm, and because the array is dense the glow passes from element to element — the whole flock shimmers. A swarm seen against the light.
Where it works
Generous rooms — lobbies, atria, double-height living rooms, banquet halls. The pyramid needs height: pressed to the ceiling it loses its silhouette.
Style
Contemporary minimalism and the graphic school: the sign instead of the image. The message is light — a piece for an interior that likes things left unsaid.
The overall size, the number of elements, the share of gold and the drop heights are all made to order.
