A composition about flame set in depth. Each drop is twisted on its vertical axis: the wall spirals around the core, the sharp tip staying above and below. The shape of fire with its movement taken away — something that does not occur in nature and can only be made this way.

The mass is packed in tiers with a wavy lower edge; the upper third is given over to the hatching of bare cables with point lights.

By day it is a cluster of amber drops — warm, translucent, with visible thickness, living on the refraction of daylight. In the evening the light runs along the spiral of the twist, reflecting off the walls, and emerges already broken into several bright bands; a glowing core appears within the body, and because the mass is dense the light passes from element to element. A field of small flames.

Where it works

An elongated horizontal format — long dining tables, bar counters, lobbies, meeting rooms. The dense mass gives plenty of warm light: the piece works as the main illumination of a zone.

The Murano tradition in a contemporary reading: colour and torsion held in depth. The message is warm — a piece for an interior that values comfort.
