A composition about tension released. Each plate sags in an arc between two fixing points — the form fabric takes when you stop pulling it. The edges lift into sharp corners here and hang in triangular points there, so the line is ragged rather than smooth.

The panels run in two tiers, one beneath the other, close together, forming two undulating bands. The texture is large and scaled — worked hide or bark.

By day it is a row of stretched panels: the scaling catches daylight and gives a soft play of light and shade across the whole plane. In the evening the light runs along the upper edge and grazes the texture at a sharp angle, bringing out the entire relief: the surface comes alive and every scale gets its own shadow. Almost nothing escapes outward — only the grazing light works, and the composition reads as a garland lit along its top.

Where it works

An elongated horizontal format — long dining tables, meeting rooms, lobbies, restaurant floors. Grazing light means the piece gives little general illumination and works as an accent.

Style

Brutalist luxury and contemporary sculpture: texture instead of shine. The message is tactile — a piece whose chief quality is its surface.
