Lighting composition
LC0546
A composition about suspension. This is not a chandelier in the usual sense but a light environment: the movement of air, an accumulation of particles, a suspension that has caught the sunset. Hundreds of crumpled leaves hover as a dense swarm, with gold drops flaring among them here and there.
The composition constantly changes in perception: as the viewer moves the swarm reassembles, and at different brightnesses it changes density.
By day the smoky and amber elements read as a mass without detail: a dense warm cloud living off reflections. In the evening the occasional gold drops light up between them and the swarm acquires depth — what glows is not the elements but the gaps.
Where it works
Where there is time to look — above a long table, in a lounge, in a meeting room with a high ceiling. The dense swarm requires volume.
Style
Contemporary sculptural installation: an environment instead of an object. The message is contemplative — a piece for a space where people linger.
The density of the swarm, the palette and the dimensions are all made to order.
