Lighting composition
LC0547
A composition about a reef raised from the sea floor. Two kinds of element form a colony: openwork blue-violet nets, like the fans of gorgonians, and white textured cones with a cellular surface, like colonies of polyps. Between them, cold points of light — plankton.
The composition is built on the contrast of dense against clear: the nets let the gaze pass right through, the cones hold the volume. From every angle the reef reassembles, opening new gaps and shadows.
By day it is a marine palette — ultramarine, lilac, white: a piece fresh and deep at once, read through openwork and texture. In the evening the points between the elements shimmer as suspension, the nets show through and the cones stay dark — the colony turns out to be at depth.
Where it works
Spas, pools, bathrooms, living rooms in a marine register, children's rooms. The openwork structure steals no light and suits shaded zones.
Style
Marine modern and bio-design: the reef as a form with no author. The message is natural — a piece for an interior beside water.
The composition of the reef, the balance of the colours and the size of the colony are all made to order.

The suspended light composition is assembled from many ceramic elements of two types. Some are openwork, recalling sea corals or organic structures created by nature itself. Their complex perforated form creates a sense of lightness and transparency. Others are elongated textured elements with a soft relief, resembling sea cocoons or shells. This is not merely a light fixture but a light sculpture — a spatial art object that changes the perception of the interior and draws the eye with its living, almost natural plasticity. Sometimes design is an attempt to reproduce the logic of nature. In this composition it is felt especially clearly.
