A composition about the drop. The form is perfectly smooth, with a clean transition from the narrow neck to the heavy base — the shape water takes in free fall, when nothing touches it. Here it is held and repeated in the hundreds.

The mass hangs from a round mirrored base and descends in a dense array, tiered, level at the top and deeply sagging at the centre: a cone pointing downward.

By day it is a cluster of honey drops — a mirrored surface with a warm golden-honey tint, heavy and rich. In the evening the light enters at the neck, travels the full body and gathers in the broad lower section, so each drop fills from within to deep amber; the mirrored surface reflects its neighbours and a constant exchange of highlights runs inside the composition. Rain frozen mid-fall.

Living rooms with high ceilings, dining rooms, stairwells, lobbies, banquet halls. The sagging centre sets the minimum height above a table.

Style

Grand classicism in contemporary execution: a cascade without a single faceted drop. The message is ceremonial — a piece for a space that receives guests.
