The same scaling gathered into a cascade. The cones are threaded in tiers on rings of differing diameter: the upper rows are wide, the lower ones narrow, and the composition ends in a sharp wedge. The form of a mountain rather than a cloud.

The density of the tiers gives the principal effect: the far elements show through the near ones, and the depth seems endless.

By day it is a mountain of honey with a rich geometric texture — a heavy piece read through silhouette and relief. In the evening each cone is lit at its base and the light runs down to the point; the multi-layered glow overlays itself. A glowing hive with a pulsing core.

Where it works

The composition is formal and substantial in image — an entrance hall, a dining room with a high ceiling, a stairwell. The wedge below sets the lowest point: clearance is needed under it.

Style
