Decorative composition
LC0169
A composition about the setting. The petal here is placed inside a second, clear form: an opaque grey-white core surrounded by an amber shell, with an air gap between them and a visible boundary along the rim. The device is a jeweller's — this is how a stone is set into a collet so it never touches the metal.
The form is elongated, pointed at both ends, with a slight twist. The composition is a dense shallow bowl: the elements are laid in layers, denser at the centre and sparser at the edges, with single petals descending below.
By day it is a cluster of layered petals — the double structure is visible along the contour and every element reads separately. In the evening the light divides between the layers: the amber shell flares along its contour as a warm line, the grey-white core stays a calm matte patch. The mass never merges into a continuous glow — it is a multitude of outlined forms, a swarm of luminous cocoons.
Where it works
Living rooms with high ceilings, lobbies, stair landings, zones above a round table. The double structure is visible close to — the composition is made to be examined.
Style
Jewellery modernism and contemporary classicism: the setting as a device rather than a finish. The message is collector-minded — a piece for someone who looks at detail.
The overall size, the number of elements, the tone of the core and the depth of the amber are all made to order.
