A composition about turning in different directions. Every element is twisted its own way, and the cloud seems alive, fluid, breathing — if the coils all ran the same way the piece would be mechanical.

Long spirals with a ribbed texture read as a curl of hair or as a shaving off a jeweller's bench. Clear and smoky intermixed add depth.

By day it is a cluster of twisted forms on gold cones: the composition reads through plasticity and the hatching of the ribbing. In the evening light enters from above and runs down the coils, flaring at every turn of the spiral — the curls light up along the spiral rather than all at once.

Where it works

Above a dining table, in a stairwell, above a reception desk — wherever the composition is seen from the side and from below. The hanging cluster sets the lower boundary.

Style

Baroque in a minimal rendering and jewellery aesthetics: the curl without ornament. The message is expressive — a piece for an interior that needs character.
