A composition about the passage from dawn to dusk. White and gold are not mixed here but drawn apart to the ends: the white boats gather on one side, the gold on the other, and in the middle they blend. The arc reads not as a pattern but as a timeline — a cold field warming toward gold.

The element is a narrow boat with high sharp prows and a deep hollow. The arc rises from one side, the elements lying in tiers and layers with a gradual gain in height.

By day the gradient reads calmly: white all but dissolves against a pale ground while gold holds the accent. In the evening the difference intensifies — the white diffuses the light into a soft even glow, the polished gold reflects it sharply and throws highlights. The transition becomes more legible than it is by daylight: the composition literally heats up toward one edge.
