A flock with no leader. Every bird is generalised to the limit — two wings and a body, not one surplus detail — and precisely for that reason the eye sees movement rather than figures.

The composition is built by the laws of a real flock: a dense core, thinned edges, individual birds that have broken ahead. The formation never repeats itself, and a shimmer arises out of that — the gaze reads flight where nothing moves.

The intent is concision: the less that is said about a bird, the more is left to the viewer. This is a composition as hint, not as illustration.

By day the flock reads as graphic work on the ceiling — generalised silhouettes, not one detail. In the evening the light reveals it in layers: the near birds flare, the far ones stay shadow, and the flight acquires a depth it does not have by day.

Where it works

The horizontal format is ideal above a long dining table, in a lobby, in a meeting room, over a reception desk — anywhere that needs span without mass.

Style

Contemporary minimalism and Scandinavian restraint: white walls, pale wood, panoramic glazing. The message is freedom — the flock reads as open sea beyond the window, even when the window gives onto a city.
