An object about a hummingbird never landing on a flower: it drinks hovering in the air. The petals are coiled into a funnel, the edge going inward — the gaze is drawn in after it and comes up against the light.

The light is hidden deep in the whorl and comes out not straight but in a circle, drawing the curve. The result is not a luminaire but a flower with the light deep inside the corolla.

The birds are hung between the flowers and along the edges, each on its own cable: a different height, a different turn, beaks led away from the centre. Not one repeats its neighbour.

By day it is a sculpture: coiled petals, read through plasticity and the highlights along the whorl, and birds held still on the approach. In the evening the light comes out in a circle, drawing the curve, the flowers begin to glow from within, and the birds catch that light on the edge of a wing.

A dense vertical format — for staircases, bay windows, tall entrance halls, spa areas and poolside spaces where the theme of water sounds natural.
