Lighting composition
LC0128
A composition about two directions. Two forms work in opposite ways here: the bells open upward and give their light to the ceiling, the icicles hang down and carry it to the table. One object lights both up and down, and that is not a technical solution but a subject.
The bells are gathered into a dense group at the centre — a field of flowers or a rank of gramophone horns. Icicles with ragged fire-polished surfaces form a fringe at the edges. The tone is amber at varying densities: almost colourless in places, thickening to honey in others.
By day it is a thicket of clear flowers — warm, translucent, read against the light. In the evening the light from deep in the bells rises and settles on the ceiling as a soft warm patch, while the icicles pick it up and carry it down, flaring at their tips. A field from which sparks are falling.
Where it works
An elongated horizontal format — long dining tables, bar counters, lobbies, meeting rooms. Light reflected upward makes the composition a source of general illumination, not merely an accent.
Style
Art Nouveau and warm contemporary classicism: a botanical motif in an amber palette. The message is hospitable — a piece for a table where people gather.
The length, the number of bells, the length of the icicles and the depth of the amber tone are all made to order.
