The same spinning top, but in a dense array. Here the elements stand close together, layered, with a wavy lower edge: not a swarm but a mass. A flattened disc at the middle, a short cone above, a long sharp spike below — a top stopped in the air, multiplied by the hundred.

Above the mass runs a net of bare cables with point lights, receding to the ceiling: it adds volume and stops the composition reading as a flat band.

By day the object is all but invisible — entirely clear, it shows itself only in highlights. In the evening a double rhythm establishes itself: the discs diffuse the light and flare along their rims in a horizontal layer of reflections, while the spikes carry it downward and light up at their very tips in a vertical rain. A volume filled with hanging lights on two levels.

Where it works

An elongated horizontal format — long dining tables, bar counters, lobbies, meeting rooms. A dense mass gives more light than a sparse composition of the same length.

Style

Contemporary classicism and precise minimalism: geometry instead of ornament. The message is austere — a piece for an interior that holds its form.
