A composition about the plan of a city in three dimensions. The bars are fixed at right angles: horizontals and verticals fold into a volumetric grid in which there is not one accidental line. This is not a chandelier but a spatial frame of light.

Inside every bar runs a veined texture — the only living thing in a strict orthogonal system.

By day it is an architectural grid: clear bars on black rods, read through lines and inner drawing, a technical and precise piece. In the evening the light burns in the ends as cold points — the grid is marked out by its nodes and the volume becomes legible right through. A city plan lifted into the air.

Where it works

Lofts, offices, meeting rooms, contemporary interiors with character. The orthogonal geometry needs straight lines around it: in a classical interior the piece argues with the finishes.

Style

Bauhaus and industrial modernism: structure instead of decor. The message is rational — a piece for a space that values order.
