A composition about the last drops. The cascade is gathered into a heart: a dense core at the centre, sparse elements at the edges and solitary spindles hanging lower than the rest — like the last drops of a retreating rain. It is exactly those strays that make the form alive.

Faceted lozenges with sharp noses repeat the finials of old balusters; between them rise fine gold candles. The classic formula of a formal chandelier is translated into a contemporary language: no tinsel, only facets, light and a precise line.

By day it is a crystalline mass — dense from one position, an airy scattering from another; a piece read through faceting and highlights. In the evening every spindle catches the light of the candle beside it and flares from within with a cold brilliance — the cascade acquires a depth invisible by day.

Where it works

Formal spaces — entrance halls, dining rooms, stairwells, banqueting halls. The heart form requires a view from the front and from below: the composition is hung on the axis of the room.
