A composition in two tempos. The strict architecture of rings — and the weightless, melting dust of rain around it: the piece is a draft drawing and a cloud at once.

Bands of polished gold curve into wide rings, faceted rods hang from them as a dense fringe, and from above the finest beads descend on hundreds of threads.

By day, close up, the precision of the contour and the faceting is visible; from a distance a radiant cloud: two scales of perception in one piece. In the evening light comes from the gold bands and floods the fringe from within, the facets burn warm, and the rain of beads catches the reflections and scatters them — the architecture dissolves into dust.

Where it works

Formal spaces — an atrium, a lobby, a restaurant with a high ceiling, a banqueting hall. The rain of beads requires height: it is built downward from the rings.

Style

Art Deco and formal classicism: the ring and the pendant as a classic pairing. The message is a statement of status — a piece for a space that declares its level.
