A composition about split ice. The radial frost texture on the triangular plates reads unambiguously: that is how cracks run out from a single blow — from a point, in rays, not to a plan.

At the centre of every plate is a mirrored disc with the light hidden behind it: the source is covered by its own reflector and is never seen.

By day it is a silver horizon beneath the ceiling: the texture reads as rays, the mirrored centres catch the room, and the composition is strict and festive at once. In the evening the rays run out along the grooves and every shard shines with a rose of light of its own — an aurora cut into facets.

Where it works

Lobbies, dining rooms, meeting rooms, showrooms, banqueting halls. The broad field is built wide: the composition covers a zone rather than occupying a point.

Style

Nordic Art Nouveau and Art Deco: ice as a formal motif. The message is ceremonial and cold — a piece for an interior in a silver register.
