A composition about wealth hidden inside. Stone outside, sun within: the split geodes show a dark mercury surface on the outside and a hot gold in the break. The device comes from nature — that is how real geodes are built, and everything of value in them opens only after the split.

Every element is unique: its own break, its own relief, its own drawing of the melt.

By day it is dark mirrored stones on copper rods — a piece read through reflections, with the gold interior visible only from certain positions. In the evening light comes out of the breaks in warm flashes and reflects in the dark facets of the neighbours: the stones begin to wink at each other while the mass around stays dark.

Where it works

Private living rooms, studies, bars, lounges, showrooms. The dark mass requires dark surroundings: against a pale wall the contrast stops working.

Style

Brutal opulence and natural aesthetics: the mineral as it is. The message is strong and collectorly — a piece for an interior with character.
