A composition about a winter forest. The two-colour formation reads directly: the white cones are trunks in snow, the dark green ones are conifer. The form is one; the colour turns it into a landscape.

The texture is alive, slightly crumpled, catching shadows like hand-cast paper. The cones stand points up in dense formation, with light burning in the cut of each.

By day it is graphic work in two colours: white and deep green read through texture and the play of light on a crumpled surface. In the evening light goes down from every cut — the composition delivers genuine working illumination, a rarity among art objects — and the forest turns into a field of lights.
