The same spiral stood upright. The ribbon twists around an invisible axis from the floor to the top; the base is a simple ring out of which the vortex literally grows. The support is reduced to a minimum so that nothing holds the movement back.

The structure reads as DNA or as the trace left by a spinning torch: the movement here is completely obvious although the object does not move.

By day the floor lamp works through silhouette and reflections — a clean line twisted in the air. In the evening the light is distributed evenly over the whole height: it lights the space softly, creating neither glare nor dark zones. The black version with cold light looks technological, almost museum-like; the gold one with warm light like a formal column.

Where it works

The corners of a living room, the zone beside a staircase, wall piers, reception rooms. Even light over the full height makes the floor lamp a genuine source rather than only an accent.

Style

Contemporary sculpture and parametric design: the spiral as pure mathematics. The message is intellectual — a piece for an interior with contemporary taste.
