Lighting composition
LC0371
A composition about a stone with a hole in it. The rings are thick, irregular, slightly skewed — as though turned by water rather than cast. There is not one true circle: the form belongs to the elements, not to a pair of compasses.
The rings are linked by gold pins with glowing ends and assembled into a dense field several layers deep. The mass is optically complex: through it you see the neighbouring rings, distorted as though through a lens.
By day it is a field of transparent sections — a piece read through distortions and overlays, the depth visible right through. In the evening light enters through the pins and spreads through the whole volume, and every ring glows along its inner contour. What remains is a net of glowing ovals hanging inside one another.
Where it works
Equally good in two formats — a compact circle above a table or an elongated band along a counter. It reads both close up and from a distance, so it suits intimate rooms and large halls alike.
Style
Natural minimalism and contemporary sculpture: the water-worn stone as a form. The message is calm and tactile — a piece for an interior that values substance.
The number of rings, the shape of the field and the density of the linking are all made to order.

@vargov_design →Composition video LC0371 There are places in the ocean where sunlight barely reaches. There life follows its own laws, and light becomes the most precious phenomenon. It was this mysterious world that inspired us to create composition LC0371. Each glass element recalls a deep-sea ray gliding through the water. Their smooth silhouettes seem caught by an invisible current: some slide forward, others rise higher, others gather into a single shoal. Despite the absolute stillness of the composition, there is a sense of endless movement. A soft warm glow emerges right from the centre of each ‘ray’, like the bioluminescent light that helps the inhabitants of the ocean depths find their way in total darkness. Thanks to this the composition comes alive and creates the feeling of a whole ecosystem slowly drifting beneath the ceiling. Clear blue glass with living air bubbles makes each element unique. Light passes through the glass, refracts in its curves and gives rise to a sense of real sea depth — calm, mysterious and endless. LC0371 is a fragment of the underwater world, stopped in the space of an interior to remind us every day of the beauty of nature — which cannot be repeated but can be felt.
