A composition about braking. An open fan with sharp tips and a deep hollow — the silhouette reads both as a bird's tail as it kills its speed before landing and as an opened bud. What the two readings share is opening: the form is shown at the moment it is most fully unfurled.

The elements are turned in different directions and hang in layers. The upper contour is uneven: individual figures rise above the main mass or drop below it, and the flock never looks drawn up.

By day the object reads as a flock stilled below the ceiling — white with gold, a dense sculptural mass. In the evening the light emerges through the open mouths in narrow warm patches: the white bowls are lit from within, the gold ones flare. From outside the elements stay opaque — only the opened sides glow, and the composition looks different from every point.

Where it works

Generous rooms — lobbies, double-height living rooms, dining rooms, atria. The directional glow means the piece should be oriented along the principal line of sight.

Style

Contemporary classicism with an organic motif: movement caught in sculpture. The message is lively and dynamic — a piece for a space where something is happening.
