A composition about a nest. Hooks with turned tips interweave into a tangle — a mass with neither top nor bottom, only interlock. Between them, on separate threads, hang small faceted spheres that descend lower: drops running off the hooks.

Some elements are opaque and white, with a gold hollow inside; others are entirely clear, read only through highlights along the rim. One form in two readings: visible and nearly absent.

By day it is a tangle of clear horns — a pale sculptural mass in which the transparent elements all but dissolve. In the evening a chain builds itself: the light emerges reflected from the gold hollows, enters the clear hooks, which carry it onward along their curve, and the faceted spheres gather it and give it back as pinpoint flares. A nest with sparks falling out of it.

Where it works

Living rooms with high ceilings, stairwells, lobbies, zones above a round table. The trailing pendants set a lower limit — allow clearance beneath.

Style

Art Nouveau and jewellery modernism: a complex interweaving that works as a setting. The message is collector-minded — a piece for someone who looks closely.
