A composition about shoots. The ribbons are tied into loose loops and waves and gathered into a dense garden of vertical gestures — the movement here is directed upward, as in spring growth.

The green is metered like a seasoning: it enlivens the white mass and gives the composition a botanical mood without turning it into a plant.

By day it is a garden of glossy ribbons — creamy white with olive, read through the plasticity of the loops and their overlays. In the evening a warm point comes on at the top of every ribbon and runs down the gloss: the light descends the curl, repeating its line, and the garden begins to glow from the top down.

Where it works

Living rooms, dining rooms, lobbies, winter gardens, reception desks. Vertical gestures need height to spare — otherwise the composition flattens.
