A composition about a knot. The knot is an ancient sign of connection and of infinity; here it is turned into sculpture and repeated by the dozen, each with its own plasticity and its own bend. Tying the same knot twice is impossible.

The cloud is dense, on gold needle pins: it reads whole from a distance and opens into the plasticity of each knot close up.

By day it is a white cloud of free loops — a piece read through curves and overlays, bright and mobile. In the evening a soft light comes on inside the loops: it slides along the gloss and floods the core of every knot with warmth — what glows is not the mass but the middle of each linkage.

Where it works

Living rooms, dining rooms, lobbies, reception rooms, wedding halls. The dense cloud requires height — pressed to the ceiling, it loses its plasticity.

Style

Contemporary sculpture and Art Deco: the knot as a symbol. The message is expressive — a piece for an interior that needs a gesture.
