A composition about a root. A long winding tube with smooth turns and swellings — a form with no geometry: neither a root nor a stem nor a weed ever has any. The author refuses repetition, and every element is bent its own way.

The mass descends from a round mirrored base and narrows below. The stems interweave and touch here and there: the thicket reads as continuous, yet every individual stem is visible.

By day it is a mass of white coral suspended below the ceiling — dense, calm, monochrome. In the evening the light enters a stem at its end and travels its whole length, and the milky surface diffuses it so that not a point but the entire stem glows, evenly and softly. A thicket lit underwater.

Where it works

Living rooms with high ceilings, lobbies, spas, stairwells. The composition builds downward, so what matters is not floor area but clear height beneath it.

Style

Organic modernism and marine aesthetics: a line without a single angle. The message is soft and enveloping — a piece for an interior where people rest.
