A composition about something grown rather than assembled. The branches curve in a broad loop in the horizontal plane, divide, and on every stalk sits its own rosette at its own angle. The composition reads as something that developed by itself — not one position is repeated.

The rosettes, with fine radial pleating and a slightly rolled, uneven rim, differ a little from one another in calibre and inclination. The fibrous texture gives the material visible veining.

By day it is a field of paper flowers on a gold loop — bright, light, almost weightless. In the evening light from the nodes of the branches passes through the thin structure and the discs begin to glow from within, entire, with their veining showing; the gold shows through them as a warm thread. Not one direct source is visible — a cloud of luminous rosettes.

Where it works

Generous rooms — lobbies, double-height living rooms, dining rooms, banquet and wedding halls. The horizontal loop reads from above and from the side: the piece is hung over a table or a gathering zone.

Style

Art Nouveau and romantic classicism: flowering as the subject, gold as the setting. The message is festive and bright — a piece for a ceremonial space.
