A composition about a ripple on metal. The line rises and falls in two crests with a trough between them — a wave set by the length of the suspensions. Each narrow curved tongue is turned on its own axis, so the mass never reads as flat: it has depth and shimmer.

Cool silver and warm gold are intermixed, the surface polished. The upper part of the composition stays almost dark — only the hatching of cables.

By day it is a ripple: the mirrored tongues catch daylight and invert it, and the pattern changes with every step the viewer takes. In the evening the light rolls out along the full length of each element and a glowing rib lights up — gold gives warm flares, silver cool ones. A wave full of sparks.

Where it works

An elongated horizontal format — long dining tables, bar counters, lobbies, meeting rooms. The wave pattern is calculated for the length of the table.

Style

Contemporary Art Deco and glamorous minimalism: two metals, no colour at all. The message is representative — a piece for a table where people are received.
