The same twisted drop read in graphite. The device rests on a division of temperatures: outside everything is cold — grey smoke, steel highlights, white points above; inside each drop is a hot orange core, visible only through the openings of the twist.

The form is identical, the palette its opposite — and the piece changes in mood. Instead of warmth, a smouldering restraint.

By day it is a cluster of smoky drops, almost black against the light, with a mirrored surface: a dark, heavy, graphic mass. In the evening what you see from outside is a dark mass in which dozens of embers are smouldering — narrow orange bands breaking through the twist. A fire cooling under ash.

Where it works

An elongated horizontal format — long dining tables, bar counters, private living rooms, lounges in a dark palette. The dark mass gives little general light: the piece sets a mood rather than illuminating.

Style

Dark luxury and contemporary minimalism: smoke outside, heat within. The message is intimate and adult — a piece for an evening interior.
