Lighting composition
LC0028
A composition about the spindle. A rod with a thickening at its middle is among the oldest tools there is, and its form has not changed in thousands of years because there is nothing in it to change. The author takes it as it stands and adds only what the spindle never had: light.
Some rods carry two thickenings, some one — the rhythm is uneven. The composition is vertical, the rods hanging in a dense group at several levels.
By day it is a set of clear instruments — precise, cool forms with gold collars and finials. In the evening light enters from above and below and travels along the rod to meet in the middle: the transverse scoring breaks it into close horizontal strokes, while the thickened disc gathers it and flares into a bright ring. A double graphic — fine hatching along the rod and a bright point at the swell.
Where it works
Living rooms with high ceilings, stairwells, lobbies, meeting rooms. The vertical group builds downward: allow for height.
Style
Industrial minimalism and craft aesthetics: the tool as form. The message is rational — a piece for an interior that values how things are made.
The overall size, the number of rods, the number of swells and the finish of the collars are all made to order.

@vargov_design →Video of composition made of LC0028 elements The LC0028 crystal elements are conceived as independent light objects that combine the transparency of art crystal, the fine graphics of glowing lines and refined brass accents. Thanks to the complex plasticity of the crystal, light refracts many times within the material, creating a soft inner glow and delicate reflections on the surrounding surfaces. The composition owes its special expressiveness to the rings of light passing through the transparent body of each element. They underline its geometry, create a sense of depth and make every object recognisable even from a distance. The elements can be used as single pendants, as linear compositions above islands and tables, or as large multi-level installations for private residences, penthouses, restaurants and public spaces.
