A composition about two temperaments. Soft and sharp meet here: broad crumpled caps with wavy rims and long faceted spikes drawn downward. The author mixes them without system — cap, spike, cap again — and the composition keeps changing its mood.

The bowl is shallow, denser at the centre, sparser at the edges, with single spikes descending below. No element repeats its neighbour in form or in orientation.

By day the object is all but invisible: clear and colourless, it shows itself only in highlights, and in a bright room it is easy to miss. In the evening the difference between the forms comes fully into play — the caps gather the light and diffuse it into a broad soft patch, the spikes carry it their whole length and flare at the tip. A gathering of luminous forms suspended in emptiness.

Where it works

Living rooms with high ceilings, stairwells, lobbies, zones above a table. Transparency needs a dark or saturated backdrop: against a white ceiling the piece is lost.

Style

Contemporary classicism and minimalism: contrast of form instead of colour. The message is spare — a piece for an interior built on nuance.
