Light as art

The same wreath, but shedding downward. The direction is reversed: instead of wind carrying feathers sideways, weight and fall do the work. The stream separates below, thinning as it goes, and the last feathers hang alone far from the mass.

The palette is cool — subdued moss green, silver-grey, matte white, with gold inclusions around the ring. The transition between tones is gradual, with no boundaries.

By day the panel reads as graphics: the worked shafts and barbs give a continuously ribbed surface that catches the light in bands. In the evening the ring lights up along its contour while the falling feathers stay dark — and the movement becomes more legible than it is by daylight. Light here works as direction rather than decoration.

Where it works

Feature walls — halls, living rooms, stair landings, reception areas, private studies. The vertical shedding needs clearance below the ring.

Style

Nordic modernism and contemporary classicism: a cool palette, a natural motif. The message is restrained — a piece for an interior that dislikes volume.

The wreath diameter, the number of feathers, the length of the fall and the palette are all made to order.
