A composition about what was broken and set again. Inside every medallion lies a net of cracks and shards compressed into a single layer: ice split by frost and then caught back together. Destruction is not depicted here, it is recorded.

The discs stand on edge, gathered into one dense row — a crest, or a rank of shields. The calibres vary and the tilts differ slightly, so the row never looks machined.

By day it is a rank of icy plates in a fine gold setting: the white net inside reads as graphics, the setting draws the outline of every disc. In the evening the light enters at the rim and travels inward along the cracks like lightguides — each crack flares along its own line, the whole disc glows with a net of white veins, and the setting rings it with a warm contour. Medallions with frozen lightning inside.

Where it works

An elongated horizontal format — long dining tables, bar counters, meeting rooms, reception areas. Discs on edge read end-on: the piece is oriented along the line of sight.

Style

Contemporary Art Deco and natural aesthetics: the fracture as a drawing. The message is dramatic — a piece for an interior that likes a strong detail.
