A composition about a leaf stalk. The gold capsule here is fixing and source at once: the rays of the texture radiate from it exactly as the veins radiate from the stalk of a real leaf. Structure and botany have coincided.

Clear, smoky and cognac leaves hang as a dense canopy at differing heights.

By day it is a canopy in three tones: the texture reads as rays, the layers of canopy overlaid and visible right through. In the evening the light enters the leaf from within and runs out along the rays — every leaf glows from stalk to edge, and the canopy burns like a tree at sunset.

Where it works

Living rooms, lobbies, winter gardens, restaurant halls. The layered canopy requires height — pressed to the ceiling, it loses its depth.

Art Nouveau and botanical modern: the leaf as a classic motif. The message is warm and natural — a piece for an interior in a natural register.
