A composition about orcas. The ribbing on a broad single body turns it in the evening into a strip of light.
The body is whole, one single line, with a smooth sweep of the tail. Beneath each is a gold fin-cone with light. The white ceiling rails are part of the aesthetic: the suspension is not hidden, it holds the pod at varied levels.
By day it is an almost colourless pod: the bodies read through ribbing and form, and the composition is very airy. In the evening light floods the body from below, the ribbing drives it along, and the pod covers a space with an even warm radiance — what you see is not the fixture but the glow.
Where it works
Lobbies, conference halls, meeting rooms, retail galleries, panoramic living rooms. The even radiance makes the composition the main source of lighting.
