A composition about the phases of a wave. Every element is arrested in its own: crest, fall, run-up — together they give not a drawing but the storyboard of a single movement.

White gathers the mass into one cloud: strict, architectural, almost graphic. The light comes from the bends rather than from above.

By day it is an even white field overhead — a piece read through the plasticity of the bends and soft chiaroscuro, calm and uniform. In the evening light comes out of every bend and the field begins to shimmer like a sea under a low sun: the crests burn, the falls stay dark.

Where it works

Large spaces — lobbies, conference halls, retail galleries, panoramic living rooms. The composition covers a hall in an even layer of light and movement: it works as the main lighting.

Style

Parametric design and contemporary architecture: an array instead of an object. The message is monumental — a piece that is a surface, for a building.
