A composition with no light of its own. The piece works exclusively on borrowed light: the gloss and the gold border gather a room's illumination and shift with every step. A sculpture made of highlights that needs no wiring.

The elements are bent like a petal in the wind or a sweet in an opened wrapper; the cascade is triangular, narrowing downward, the edge traced in gold.

By day the cascade lives on daylight from the window: the white gloss reflects it softly, the gold border sharply, and the drawing of highlights changes as the sun moves. In the evening directed lamplight makes the cascade flare entire — the piece catches fire the more strongly the harder you light it from the side.

Where it works

Grand staircases, entrance halls, the zone above a round table. The composition gives volume and luxury with no lighting technology — suitable where wiring is impossible but directed light is available nearby.
